Can we have like, short bios/backgrounds/info of some sort on Sedge, Haron and Ven Roth? I'm sorry, I just really love well developed OCs and yours always make me smile :')
omg no anon i would be happy to!! ;w; im rly glad people like my ocs enough to want to hear about them ehehe
(first of all i guess it’s worth mentioning all my ocs did the “born in smeet factories and then shunted off to training” thing)
SEDGE is best described as “obnoxious teenager”. ey never really had any manners to begin with (ey was always getting written up in training), and spending basically eir entire life out on the fringes of empire space has helped about as much as you’d expect it to. eir official job is “advance intelligence scout”, which is equal parts navigation/field research, and basically involves flying around outside of empire space and scoping out planets for potential invasion (this can include anything from location to “cut the dominant species open to find out how it works”) (sedge is really enthusiastic about that last part.) after that sedge writes up a report on the planet in question and sends that back to the massive so they can determine whether or not it’s worth investigating further. sedge also likes spatial puzzles (like rubiks cubes and stuff)!
HARON is sedge’s onboard engineer - a vital component for scout ships, considering they’re generally far out of range of the nearest irken territory - but not eir first onboard engineer. (before haron, sedge went through 3 other engineers that all quit because sedge was being such a horrible child about them) haron is kind of the emotional anchor of the ship; ey’s got a fairly even disposition and isn’t easily provoked, but ey’s also a homebody and gets lost in eir work (ie. the ship) very easily. ey takes pride in eir work - if there’s one thing ey can’t stand, it’s shoddy workmanship. haron likes to make new spatial puzzles for sedge, hehe.
VEN ROTH is…. way less fleshed out than the other two whoops. i don’t really have much for em before ey gets dragged aboard the ship? ey’s an imperial strategist, and is kind of the typical government official character. ey’s got a low tolerance for insubordination and disrespect, and likes getting things done as quickly as possible, but ey doesn’t really have any practical experience in coordinating with other people on stuff, so this is kind of a nightmare job for em. i think i might make it so that ey kind of wanted to be something else when ey was little, but it’s a case of “acting your height”, as it were, so there’s a little lingering resentment there haha (just so it’s not “stuck up government official” for no reason)
